I am a freelance scientific and medical writer based in Surrey, UK. I write mostly on  biomedical topics and specialise in genetics, biochemistry, pharmaceuticals and medicine. I write news and feature articles, copy for websites and CD-ROMs, and press releases. I also work as a freelance editor.

My work has appeared in a number of different print and online publications for a variety of science and/or medical charities and publishing companies. These include the Wellcome Trust, British Heart Foundation, Nature Publishing Group and Null Hypothesis.

I publish both as Christina Giles and Chrissie Giles; which name is used seems to depend more on what the subeditor fancied that day than anything else.
